Scott Nehls is a Partner in the firm's Litigation and Dispute Resolution Practice. He represents small to mid-sized businesses, individuals, and financial institutions in a variety of civil litigation matters, including shareholder disputes, contract breaches, construction litigation, fraud, landlord-tenant disputes, employment issues, business torts, and loan enforcement actions.
Before joining the firm, Mr. Nehls served as an Assistant State’s Attorney for Cook County, where he gained substantial litigation experience. He argued cases before the Illinois First District Appellate Court, drafted numerous appellate briefs and petitions for the Illinois Supreme Court, and handled over ten jury trials to verdict. While in the Civil Unit, Scott focused on defending Cook County employees against civil claims in both federal and state courts, further honing his litigation and advocacy skills.
