On behalf of everyone at Krieg DeVault, we hope that this update finds you healthy in light of the impact of Coronavirus (COVID-19).  On Monday, March 23, Governor Eric J. Holcomb signed an Executive Order requiring Indiana residents to remain in their homes except when they are at work or for permitted activities, such as taking care of others, obtaining necessary supplies, and for health and safety.  A similar order was put into effect for Illinois on Friday, March 20 by Governor J.B. Pritzker.  Under these orders, law firms are “essential businesses” and allowed to remain operational.  We continue to be available to serve as your trusted legal advisor during this time of uncertainty.

Krieg DeVault’s top priority continues to be the safety of our team and our commitment to delivering exceptional client service.  To protect the welfare of our team and clients, we have instituted remote working arrangements while making sure essential services are available at our offices.  Additionally, we continue to follow all federal, state, and local guidelines regarding the cleanliness of our physical office facilities for the safety of our clients, attorneys, and staff.

Please know the firm is equipped with the secure technology capabilities to remain fully operational, and there will be no disruption in our high-quality client service.  Your emails and phone calls will be answered in a timely fashion. We can set up virtual meetings in a variety of ways.  Beyond the ongoing matters we are handling for you, our team stands ready and available to provide counsel in order to help you navigate the legal and regulatory implications associated with COVID-19, including the Governor’s order. Included in this support is our Coronavirus (COVID-19) Resource Center, which we have created with your needs in mind.

We appreciate your continued trust in our firm as we closely monitor this ever-changing situation. Should you have any questions relating to how COVID-19 may impact your business, please contact any of our attorneys for guidance.

Warmest Regards,

Michael J. Messaglia
