Partner David E. Corbitt Elected to Krieg DeVault’s Executive Committee

Krieg DeVault is pleased to announce that the firm has elected Partner David E. Corbitt to serve on the firm’s 5-member Executive Committee. Krieg DeVault’s Executive Committee is responsible for leading the efforts of the firm to deliver exceptional client service as a diverse and inclusive team while always exemplifying the firm’s CORE Values of Commitment, Ownership, Respect, and Excellence.
Corbitt has spent most of his legal career at Krieg DeVault — hired in 2003 as an Associate and becoming Partner in 2007. Throughout his career, he has been active in several firm leadership positions. In addition to his Executive Committee duties, Corbitt currently serves as Chair of the firm's Public Finance and Municipal Law Practice Group.
Corbitt’s legal practice is concentrated primarily in municipal finance, economic development, governmental affairs and the transactional areas of mergers and acquisitions, securities and general corporate law and strategy. Furthermore, he has spent a significant amount of time assisting clients in respect of a variety of general corporate matters including, but not limited to, matters concerning corporate governance, choice of entity, dissolution, corporate finance, corporate control and operation with specific emphasis on the needs of privately and closely held businesses.
Corbitt is an active member of his community, currently serving on the Board of the Capital Improvement Board of Managers of Marion County, the Indiana Sports Corp., the John H. Boner Center, Fairbanks Addiction Treatment Center, Boys and Girls Club of Central Indiana, and as an Advisory Board member of the Maurer School of Law Black Law Student Association (BLSA) Alumni Association.
Corbitt also served as the Founding Chairman of the Indianapolis Bar Association's (IBA) Diversity Task Force where he was instrumental in leading the committee that developed the IBA’s first Diversity Job Fair. He is a past recipient of the Indianapolis Business Journal’s Forty Under 40 Award, and has been named as a Super Lawyer and Rising Star by Indiana Super Lawyers.
