Indianapolis, Indiana - The law firm of Krieg DeVault LLP is pleased to announce that Partner and Executive Committee Member Jeffrey C. McDermott has been elected as Director of the Center for the Performing Arts in Carmel, Indiana.

The Center for the Performing Arts is a four-venue, world-class performing arts center located in Carmel, Indiana. The Center, scheduled to open to the public in 2011, will boast a state-of-the-art, acoustically perfect 1,600-seat concert hall, dubbed The Palladium, a 500-seat proscenium theater, a 200-seat studio theater and an outdoor amphitheater.

The Center for the Performing Arts will play host to a diverse lineup of local, national and international arts programming, including a Great American Song Book Series, jazz, dance, classical, chamber, choral and country concerts, plus appearances by world famous symphonies like the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra singers and musicians, a variety of plays and musicals, intimate cabaret performances, one night stands by America's favorite comedians and a host of other entertainment options that will enhance the quality of life in Central Indiana and throughout the Midwest.

About Jeffrey C. McDermott
Mr. McDermott serves on the Firm's three-member Executive Committee and serves as the Executive Partner to its Hamilton County offices. Since the beginning of his legal career, his practice has been devoted almost exclusively to litigation in both federal and state courts. He has represented major manufacturers in tobacco litigation, product liability cases, toxic tort litigation, and contract disputes. Mr. McDermott has also devoted a substantial amount of his practice to representing financial institutions in a variety of litigation matters including lender liability actions, check forgery cases, RICO and securities fraud claims and trust litigation. Mr. McDermott has also represented a number of hospitals and medical practices in complex litigation matters in both federal and state courts. He has also advised corporate clients regarding various employment matters, trade secret act cases, shareholder derivative suits and preliminary injunctions, and has handled numerous real estate and construction litigation cases.
