Krieg DeVault is pleased to announce the promotions of two attorneys to Senior Associates – Shannon L. Noder and Thomas P. Stafford. Prior to becoming Senior Associates, both served as Associates with the firm in their respective practices.

ABOUT THE SENIOR ASSOCIATES

Shannon L. Noder (Merrillville Office) - Shannon Noder is a member of the firm's Litigation and Creditors' Rights and Bankruptcy Practice Groups. Her practice focuses on a wide variety of legal issues including the defense of hospitals and physicians in medical malpractice cases and protecting creditors’ rights in collection, foreclosure, and bankruptcy litigation. Ms. Noder came to Krieg DeVault after working as an Associate at Burke Costanza & Carberry LLP where she was a member of the Commercial Services Group. While there, she represented numerous financial institutions in residential mortgage foreclosure and bankruptcy cases and represented a variety of medical providers, financial institutions, and educational institutions in collections related matters.

Thomas P. Stafford (Indianapolis Office) - As a member of the firm's Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation and Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) practice groups, Tom Stafford dedicates his practice to advising clients on a broad range of issues relative to the maintenance and compliance of qualified retirement plans, executive compensation and health and welfare plans.  Mr. Stafford concentrates primarily on the design and implementation of ESOPs and related ESOP Fiduciary issues.  Mr. Stafford also advises clients with respect to a variety of health and welfare plan issues arising under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 ("ERISA"), and provides guidance to group health plan sponsors with respect to HIPAA privacy, security and nondiscrimination requirements, COBRA continuation coverage requirements and mandates established under the Affordable Care Act.
