Cassie Nielsen is a seasoned construction and commercial litigator whose practice spans high stakes construction matters, complex business disputes and litigation, and contract negotiation. She represents construction contractors, subcontractors, design professionals, and owners in claims involving defective construction, design deficiencies, lien and bond claims, and breach of contract and warranty claims on both public and private projects and regularly guides clients through both litigation strategy and the negotiation process. Her experience also includes advising businesses on contracting, licensure, and entity formation, as well as representing regional and national clients in disputes involving bankruptcy, creditor’s rights, secured transactions, and multifaceted commercial contracts.
Cassie has secured multiple substantial trial judgments across diverse commercial and construction matters, including preference action victories, significant breach of contract recoveries, and damages awards in defective construction and Article 9 sale disputes. She also contributes to the advancement of practitioners in her field through frequent presentations and written work on construction claims, collections, and statutory frameworks affecting the dispute resolution process.
