Thomas Abrams is an Associate in the Firm's Health Care and Business Services Practice Groups. Thomas works with health care clients across sectors to advise on matters related to the corporate practice of medicine, HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2, health care IT, interoperability and information blocking, reproductive health care, and general health care compliance, among other issues. In the health care space, clients include hospitals, surgery centers, medical and dental practices, community health centers, substance use disorder treatment programs, pharmacies, pharmacy benefit managers, medical spas, and health IT developers, among others. Outside health care, Thomas handles state and federal antitrust issues and pre-merger notification under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Act, business formation and planning, contract negotiation, and mergers and acquisitions. A variety of industries are represented in his practice, including financial institutions, gas station operators, and SaaS vendors, in addition to health care organizations. 

Thomas serves on boards for the Young Professionals of Central Indiana and the Hall Center Mentor Network and has previous work experience with a major nonprofit health care system, a top 60 CPA and advisory firm, and a state health information exchange.

Outside the office, Thomas plays hockey, roots for the Indianapolis Colts and the Columbus Blue Jackets, reads about history, and loves a good TV show.
