Nicole Keith's practice is focused on civil litigation. She primarily represents healthcare providers, such as hospitals, medical groups, skilled nursing facilities, physicians, and nurses, dealing with a wide variety of legal issues including medical malpractice, premises liability, Workplace Violence Restraining Orders, and businesses and contract litigation matters. She also regularly consults and represents clients involved in complex probate and business litigation.

In her career, Ms. Keith has represented individuals, insureds, insurance companies, businesses, and corporations. She also has a diverse general practice background, having handled various cases in the practice areas of personal injury, nursing home negligence, insurance defense, employment law, probate and estate planning, contracts, family law, real estate, and criminal law. Before joining Krieg DeVault, she worked for a regional insurance defense law firm as an associate attorney and a prominent Northwest Indiana personal injury firm where she clerked and started her career as an associate attorney in general practice. During law school, she worked for the Valparaiso University Sports Law Clinic as a case manager, clinic member, and arbitration participant, in which she represented individuals involved with amateur sports that had legal issues relating to matters arising from their sports-related roles. Ms. Keith has significant courtroom experience including regularly appearing and advocating on behalf of clients in court proceedings, such as jury trials, bench trials, motion practice hearings, depositions, and court-mandated conferences, arbitrations, and mediations.

Ms. Keith serves on the firm’s Associates Committee.
