Julie Elliott brings over 18 years of real estate experience to the firm, concentrating her practice in the areas of commercial real estate transactions and development. Julie’s experience includes all aspects of real estate development, including contract negotiation, land acquisitions, due diligence, leasing, financing, construction, strategic planning and dispositions.
Prior to joining Krieg DeVault, Ms. Elliott recently served as General Counsel for The Annex Group, LLC, a leading student and affordable housing developer and general contractor. While at The Annex Group, she was responsible for developing and leading corporate legal strategy to promote and protect the company. She served as the company’s strategic advisor where she was responsible for identifying risks and potential liabilities, and developing solutions to meet company business objectives. Julie was also responsible for leading and managing all legal aspects of the development, finance and construction processes.

- General Counsel for a leading student and affordable housing developer and general contractor
- Associate General Counsel for a national real estate and investment company where she was directly responsible for all legal related development and leasing strategies and operations for the company, resulting in over 30 completed projects valued at over $540 Million
- Represent student housing developer in environmental investigation, clean-up and case closure processes
- Counsel to real estate developer on recapitalization of five off-campus student housing assets valued at approximately $30 Million
- Consel to real estate developer in the acuqisition, financing and development of land in Memphis, TN for off-campus student housing
- Counsel to real estate developer in acquisition, financing and development of land in Bozeman, MT for affordable housing
- Counsel to national homebuilder in land and lot acquisitions and development, formation of homeowners associations and drafting declarations of covenants, conditions and restrictions
- Counsel to real estate developer in the acquisition and financing of an apartment complex in Brownsburg, Indiana
- Counsel to national developer in acquisition, development and financing of property for senior care facilities
