Krieg DeVault is pleased to announce that Steven M. Sherman has joined the firm's Real Estate and Environmental Practice. Mr. Sherman brings over 35 years of legal experience to Krieg DeVault in the areas of energy and public utilities, real estate, and environmental matters.
Mr. Sherman has represented companies in all areas of energy and public utilities, including utilities, power producers, natural gas and electric marketers and energy associations. His practice has included regulatory and trial work before state and federal regulatory bodies and federal and state courts; asset transactions; joint venture agreements; negotiation of natural gas, oil, and power sales agreements and renewable energy agreements; including international energy agreements.
Mr. Sherman previously served as a Partner with Krieg DeVault from 2001-2016. Prior to his return to the firm, he served as Outside Counsel to the National Energy Marketers Association to which he is also a Founding Board Member. Mr. Sherman also brings years of experience working in Europe and Africa in the areas of energy and business development. He has been recognized by Indiana Super Lawyers and is the co-author of "Energy Law Client Strategies: Leading Lawyers on Litigation, Negotiations and Industry Regulations”, published by Aspatore Books. He will practice from the firm’s Carmel, Indiana office.
