Michael J. Bolde is a member of the firm’s Litigation Practice Group and engages in various types of civil litigation. Mr. Bolde focuses his practice on health care law, with a concentration in medical malpractice defense, health care liability, and premises liability.  He defends hospitals, ambulance providers, doctors, nurses, paramedics, and other health care professionals in all phases of medical malpractice and premises liability cases throughout the state of Indiana. He has defended claims across the spectrum of health care litigation including, but not limited to: birth injury, cardiac care, emergency medicine, anesthesia-related complications, surgical complications, delay in cancer diagnosis, decubitus ulcer/wound care, falls, and long-distance transports.

Prior to joining Krieg DeVault, Mr. Bolde worked as an associate attorney, focusing on medical malpractice defense, as well as various types of business litigation and representation of municipal entities. 

Mr. Bolde has participated in all aspects of civil litigation, including cases that have gone to verdict.

  • Successfully defended an ophthalmologist against a misdiagnosis claim brought by the patient.
  • Successfully defended a spinal surgeon in a wrongful death claim brought by the decedent’s estate.
