Max W. Hittle

Partner and General Counsel

A member of the firm’s Litigation Practice Group, Max Hittle’s practice encompasses business, corporate and banking litigation at both the trial and appellate levels. His experience includes the defense of banks and bank personnel in general banking matters; defense of product liability cases primarily related to the petroleum industry; and general corporate matters. Mr. Hittle has also represented clients in sports and entertainment law matters. Mr. Hittle is on the Commercial Panel of the American Arbitration Association, and has served as an arbitrator in numerous complex commercial disputes. Mr. Hittle has served on the Firm's Executive Committee and as the Chair of its Litigation Practice Group.

Representative Experience

Successfully defended national bank in a $30 million class action lawsuit involving check depository issues
Successfully argued numerous appeals in the Indiana Court of Appeals and 7th Circuit Court of Appeals in Chicago, Illinois
Represented AAA professional baseball team in the construction and financing of new baseball stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana
Served as sole arbitrator and/or panel member in 25 commercial arbitrations under the auspices of the American Arbitration Association
Participated in drafting civil pattern jury instructions for 7th Circuit Court of Appeals in Chicago, Illinois
