Lisa M. Glenn

Partner

Lisa Glenn practices in the areas of estate and business planning (including business formations and succession planning) and trust and estate administration and litigation. Ms. Glenn also represents taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service, Indiana Department of Revenue and local taxing authorities. She also has experience in non-profit and charitable organizations including the formation of taxable and tax-exempt subsidiaries. In addition to being an attorney, Ms. Glenn is also a Certified Public Accountant. Prior to joining Krieg DeVault, Ms. Glenn gained valuable experience in the tax department of a large and well-respected Indiana accounting firm.

Representative Experience

  • Represented clients before the Internal Revenue Service, Indiana Department of Revenue and local taxing authorities and experience in representing clients with regard to corporate and individual income taxes, employment taxes, property taxes, as well as estate, gift and generation-skipping transfer taxes
  • Involvement in litigation matters representing both plaintiffs and defendants in will and trust contests and probate disputes. 
  • Represented both individual and corporate fiduciaries in trust and administration matters
  • Works with financial institutions and creditors in the filing of claims in deceased creditors' estates, and has also been successful in pursuing decedent creditors' non-probate transfers to satisfy her clients' claims
  • Representation of non-profit organizations in matters pertaining to formation and application for federal tax-exempt status, as well as advising non-profit organizations on corporate governance and compliance matters
  • Representation of non-profit organizations on the formation of taxable and tax-exempt subsidiaries, fundraising compliance issues, including IRS and Indiana Gaming Commission requirements
  • Counsel of record in St. Margaret Mercy Healthcare Centers, Inc. v. Lake County Property Tax Assessment Board of Appeals - Before The Indiana Board of Tax Review, Petition No: 45-008-00-2-8-00001
