Grant E. Chapman

Grant Chapman is a member of the firm’s business practice group and concentrates his practice on providing general corporate and business law advice to companies of various sizes and industries. He counsels business clients through a variety of corporate stages such as choice of entity decisions, contract negotiations, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and dissolution. Mr. Chapman also has experience in antitrust and competition litigation, and has assisted clients with general real estate matters including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial leasing agreements.

Representative Experience

• Assisted in the documentation and closing of a $300 million joint venture transaction involving companies in the iron ore mining and steel industries
• Assisted in the negotiation and drafting of standard leasing agreement for major national retail franchise
• Represented start-up technology company regarding initial corporate structure and licensing arrangements
• Created several corporate governance policies for nonprofit organizations clients to ensure compliance with new regulations
• Drafted various motions for the successful exclusion of expert testimony in federal antitrust trial
