C. Joseph Russell

Joe Russell is a partner at Krieg DeVault focusing his practice in the areas of white collar criminal defense and complex commercial litigation.

Mr. Russell represents individuals and corporate clients threatened or charged with state and
federal white collar offenses including matters alleging antitrust violations, computer crimes,
conspiracy, corporate criminal conduct, employer/employee related crimes, environmental
crimes, false claims, false statements to federal agencies, Food and Drug Act offenses,
financial institution fraud, general fraud, health care fraud, federal program fraud, mail and
wire fraud, money laundering, obstruction of justice, perjury, racketeer influenced and
corrupt organizations (RICO) violations, securities fraud and federal tax fraud. He also
represents individuals and business entities before federal and state grand juries and assists
clients in responding to grand jury subpoenas.

Beginning 1983, Mr. Russell received an appointment to the post of Assistant United States Attorney for the Southern District of Indiana.  From 1985 to 1992, Mr. Russell served on the U.S. Department of Justice's Organized Crime and Drug Enforcement Task Force.
