Andrew T. Deibert

Paralegal

Andrew Deibert is a member of the firm's Litigation and Creditors’ Rights and Bankruptcy practice groups. As a Paralegal, he assists clients and attorneys in all phases of litigation.

Such assistance includes coordination of discovery requests and responses, collection and maintenance of pertinent records and documents. Mr. Deibert also performs legal and factual research and assists in locating and interviewing witnesses. During trial Mr. Deibert assists with the preparation and organization of exhibits. He also works with factual and expert witnesses, court staff, opposing counsel and technology providers to assure proper court room set up and readiness for trial. Mr. Deibert also assists in filing and preparation of proofs of claims and other documents in the Creditors’ Rights and Bankruptcy area.

Mr. Deibert has worked at the firm for 35 years.

Representative Experience

  • Assisted lead defense counsel in a four week toxic tort jury trial. Plaintiffs alleged physical, psychological and neuropsychological damages; property damages; and punitive damages. The trial was the culmination of more than a decade of related litigation involving countless witnesses and numerous experts in a variety of disciplines. Defense verdict rendered.
  • Assisted in the representation of a national manufacturer of consumer products including successful defense of individual product liability cases in state and federal courts and successful defense of class actions.
  • Assisted liaison counsel in multi-district litigation who was actively involved in coordinating the defense of class action claims and over eight hundred personal injury and wrongful death claims.
  • Assisted trial counsel for the State of Indiana in prosecuting a three week fraud and RICO trial resulting in multi-million dollar verdict for the State.
  • Assisted trial counsel in defense of a national bank in a $30 million class action lawsuit involving check depository issues.
  • Assisted Indiana counsel for national manufacturer of products used in automobile industry. Representation has included successful resolution of individual product liability cases in both state and federal court.
