Executive Director of Governmental Affairs, Amy Levander, Named a 2019 Women of Influence Honoree by the Indianapolis Business Journal

Krieg DeVault is proud to announce that Executive Director of Governmental Affairs, Amy M. Levander, was recently named a 2019 Women of Influence honoree by the Indianapolis Business Journal.
The 2019 Women of Influence breakfast was held at the Indiana Roof Ballroom on October 31, and honored 23 of Indianapolis’ most successful business women from both public and private sectors, all of whom have demonstrated professional excellence and leadership in their careers and community service.
As chair of Krieg DeVault’s Governmental Affairs and Public Advocacy Practice Group, Amy has helped bring about legislative changes that led to expanding prekindergarten programs and improving access to mental health services. She is one of very few females appointed to serve as the chair of a government affairs practice group for a major law firm. Amy has over 20 years of government experience serving both the executive and legislative branches, and is a leader in her field, recognized as a top health care lobbyist in the state – even so, she still feels as though she can do more to impact the community at large.
In addition to her professional accomplishments, Amy also believes that giving back to her community is an essential element of citizenship, and was a founding board member for Hoosier Women Forward, a women’s leadership organization whose mission is to increase the number of Democratic women in elected and appointed positions in government and in leadership roles in business and philanthropic organizations. Amy co-chaired the Development and Special Events committee and helped to fundraise and plan the inaugural lunch in 2018, which hosted over 500 attendees. Soon after, Amy was asked to serve as Hoosier Women Forward’s first Executive Director in June of 2019. She is the immediate past chair and current board member of the Hope Academy Board of Directors, the state’s only public high school for students in recovery from drug and alcohol use. She is also a graduate of the Stanley K. Lacy Leadership series Class XLII.
