Krieg DeVault expands Governmental Affairs Practice by adding Indiana State Government Industry Veteran Jennifer Ping

Krieg DeVault is pleased to announce that the firm has strengthened its highly respected Governmental Affairs Practice Group by acquiring Indiana state government industry veteran Jennifer L. Ping, previously with Bose Public Affairs Group. Ping joins the firm as Executive Director of Governmental Affairs, and will be an integral piece in continuing to grow one of the firm’s most prominent practices. Ping has assisted countless clients in all facets of governmental relations, client and issue advocacy, innovative collaboration, and effective negotiation. Her concentration will include legislative and executive branch lobbying, federal, state and local procurement, political consulting, government regulatory consulting, and grassroots and grasstops consulting.
Throughout her 22 year career, Ping has been active in helping to shape Indiana's governmental landscape. She serves as the current treasurer for State Auditor Tera Klutz of Indiana campaign, was the first female elected as chairwoman of the Marion County Republican Party, and served as campaign chair and finance chair for the Sue Ellspermann for Lieutenant Governor Campaign. For 10 years she served as vice chairwoman for the Marion County Republican Central Committee and vice chairwoman of the 7th Indiana Congressional District for the Indiana State Republican Party. Ping also was the Chairwoman for Women for Pence Coalition for Indiana Governor Mike Pence. She was elected three times to serve as a delegate for the National Republican Convention and in 2008 was the co-chair of Indiana Women for McCain.
Ping joins an already strong Governmental Affairs Practice Group at Krieg DeVault that includes Amy M. Levander, who served as Governor Joseph Kernan and Governor Frank O’Bannon’s Deputy Legislative Director, Michael D. McDaniel, former Indiana Republican State Chairman, Deborah J. Daniels, former U.S. Attorney and U.S. Assistant Attorney General, Michael C. Leppert, former Executive Director of the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission, and Mathew W. Norris, Indiana General Assembly veteran and former registered lobbyist.

Ping is a current member of the Government Affairs Society of Indiana, sits on the Board of Directors for Community Health Foundation, is an Advisory Board Member of the Richard G. Lugar Excellence in Public Service Series, serves as Co-Chair of the Government Affairs Committee and sits on the Federal Public Policy Committee for the National Association of Women Business Owners, and is an Alumni Board Member of the Purdue University College of Liberal Arts.
Ping has been recognized on numerous occasions in her career for her outstanding leadership in state government and elsewhere within her profession. She is a past recipient of the Sagamore of the Wabash, awarded by then Governor Mike Pence; a graduate of the Richard G. Lugar Excellence in Public Service Series; past honoree for the Make a Wish Foundations’ Women Inspiring Strength & Hope; received the Indianapolis Business Journal’s Women of Influence Award; finalist in the Professional Women in Advocacy Excellence in Advocacy Awards; named Member of the Year by the National Association of Women Business Owners – Indianapolis Chapter; recognized by Purdue University as the recipient of the Distinguished Emerging Voices Award for outstanding young alumni from the College of Liberal Arts; and was recognized as an honoree of Junior Achievement’s Indy’s Best and Brightest Award.
Prior to joining Krieg DeVault, Ping served as principal of Bose Public Affairs Group, Bose Governmental Strategies, and Tabbert Hahn Ping Global Strategies where she assisted clients in several capacities, including lobbying and legislative monitoring, issue management, administrative and regulatory affairs, government procurement contracts and other client advocacy matters.
