Krieg DeVault is proud to announce that the firm’s Associates and Summer Associates volunteered at Coburn Place, a transitional housing and support agency for domestic violence victims in central Indiana, on June 16, 2016. An apartment was prepared for an incoming family that consisted of a mother and three children under the age of six. The Associates and Summer Associates picked out a week’s worth of food, toiletries and other household items from the donation center.

Coburn Place is the largest and most comprehensive transitional housing program (6 months to 2 years) in Indianapolis. The facility has 35 separate apartments for families.  The apartments vary in size from one bedroom to three bedrooms.  In order to qualify for housing at Coburn Place, the individual must be homeless and fall below a particular income level.  Assuming the individual qualifies, there is often up to a year-long wait to get into Coburn Place. More than 1,700 adults and children have called Coburn Place home since 1996.
