Mr. Heaton graduated with honors from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2003 with a degree in Finance.  In 2006, Mr. Heaton graduated magna cum laude from the Indiana University School of Law Indianapolis , where he was an Articles Editor for the Indiana Law Review, named to the Order of Barristers, and served on the Dean's Tutorial Society.  Mr. Heaton also graduated from the Indiana University Kelley School of Business with a Master of Business Administration degree in 2006.

Mr. Heaton focuses his practice in the areas of health care and business, including providing general corporate and business law advice and assisting various forms of health care provider organizations and other businesses with corporate formations, mergers and acquisitions, and other business transactions.

Mr. Heaton is a member of the Indianapolis , Indiana State, and American Bar Associations, and the American Health Lawyers Association.  He currently serves as the Young Lawyers Representative of the Health Law Section of the Indiana State Bar Association.
